Red Velvet and Rosewater Buttercream Celebration Cake


Here's a take on red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, decorated with rosewater buttercream. I am a minimalist when it comes to decoration because I believe that cake flavors should be the main attraction and stand out without the trappings of excessive decorations. Ultimately, the cake flavors will be the subject of scrutiny and if you can nail it, people will remember it and love you for it. 

For this cake, a simple gold dusted fondant pearls border the base of the cake and the second tier is decked with fresh flowers. I always opt for clean lines. I also love fresh flowers to decorate the cake.
