A Wedding Anniversary

I had a wedding client last year and this was the cake made I for her. The bride was one of those people who wasn't a bride-zilla. She had finesse and style. Never pretentious. She was very specific about what she wanted. After consulting with her showing her ideas and of previous wedding cakes I've done we drew up the sketch of the cake and its details. There wasn't a lot of details that she wanted, really, just an elegant cake and one that taste really good. Second meeting with her we did the tasting and we were all set.

A 3-tier cake came to be with pearl borders, gild accents and 3 large cabbage flowers - 1 white and 2 orange.  A few adjustments from the original sketch still made the cake beautiful.

Other than the story of the cake, on July 13th, I received an email from the former bride! She told me that they have kept and froze the top tier of the cake for their one year anniversary and she said it was still delicious!

It's really nice to know that people appreciate the efforts that you put in, whatever it is you are working on. Yes, they are clients and yet the privilege is there to be part of the special moments in their lives.  Meeting their expectations is one top priority, regardless of how simple or intricate the work maybe.

Make your work count and make your clients happy!
