Peach Almond Tart

This is just wonderful - I was watch THE CHEW this morning and Carla Hall made a Peaches & Cream Cheesecake with Almond Shortbread Crust, which made me crave for that cheesecake. I love peaches and other stone fruits and they are abundant these summer months.

For the love peaches I made this Peach Tart with Almond Frangipane in a Pate Brisee Crust, then glazed the baked tart with Apricot Jam. Classic! Almond and Peaches is a match made in heaven, and the apricot just gives that nice tart kick.

The first time I served this to the restaurant a coworker said to me after tasting the tart, it brought him to nostalgia when he was a little kid his mother made this Austrian tart.. Desserts can really bring back good memories.
