Dee-light-ful Bostocks!

In search for new pastries to bake I came across this absolutely delightful french creation called Bostock. It is made of day old brioche loaf lightly brushed with almond and orange syrup, the top layer of the bread is slathered with almond cream and covered with sliced almonds. They're baked off until it is golden brown.

The scent of almond and orange as you open the oven door greets you with such pleasant aroma you can't wait to get your hands on them. Calm down. Let the pastry rest and cool down a little and then lightly dust it with powdered sugar. Now hurry up and prepare the tea! Aaahhh, the simple pleasure of freshly baked pastry to have right in your hand to me is just a great privilege and experience.

I like flaky and butter croissants and those filled with almond cream or chocolate and so far it's now included in my favorites. The Bostocks are amazingly simple but delightful. It's very delicate and light, The surface is crusty and once you bite into it it's just absolutely citrusy sweet and great crisp texture from the sliced almonds and baked almond cream. I wish I saved a couple to have with tea this morning!

Pretty soon Bostocks will be available at our shop! You gotta try one!
